I love the ministry I’m in because it is a privilege to make a difference in someone’s life by helping to brighten their outlook, lighten their burdens, and refresh their spirit through encouragement and edification. A sincere greeting, a heartfelt gesture, or a caring conversation can rock someone’s world for the day . . . or maybe even for a lifetime!
When work is done, I like to explore: take drives in the country, meander on a bicycle through new territory, walk an urban landscape.
My dream vacation is to go on a cross-country (USA) bicycle tour—the longer the journey, the better!
I like SVCC because of the worship experience and the passion of our people. The worship is rich in depth and vibrancy. I enjoy the variety as expressed through the synergy of both vocal and visual arts. This invariably helps me to align anew with my God and His people. Our people are embracing and accepting as well as encouraging and supportive. These precious ingredients draw me to a closer relationship with Jesus and usher me to serve my church family by returning their love in kind. SVCC is truly “a place to be and a place to become,” as our church motto expresses.
The most significant influence in my life is spending quality time with my family, bonding and creating cherished memories.
My hobbies and interests have included or are currently bicycling, sailing, kayaking, rock climbing, reading biographies, architecture, stained glass, construction renovations, economics, investments, entrepreneurship.
My favorite music is Jazz and Contemporary Christian songs.
Something most people don’t know about me is that I know how to speak some Mandarin.
